  Committee Descriptions  
 

BUDGET AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

The Budget and Finance Committee typically meets on an as-needed basis to discuss, review and plan the budget for CPHA, as well as other financial related issues for the Association.

BY-LAWS COMMITTEE

This committee was designed to review the Restated By-Laws and make recommendations for proposed revisions, changes and amendments.

CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS COMMITTEE

The purpose of this committee is to make recommendations to the Board of Directors as to capital improvements for Calabasas Park.  It is anticipated that this committee will meet at a minimum of once every two months to discuss the progress of capital improvements.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE (The Courier / Website)

This Committee will meet on a quarterly basis (or as needed) to compile and organize the articles for the newsletter, ready to be sent to the printer.  Additionally, items related to updates and changes for the website will be addressed by the Communications Committee.

ELECTION COMMITTEE

The Election Committee will review the pertinent section of the By-Laws regarding elections and make recommendations for modifications, as well as provide suggestions with the election process to the Board of Directors.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL COMMITTEE

The Committee will be involved with architectural submittals for new construction and/or modifications to existing structures, as well improvements within Calabasas Park. 

FACILITIES USE COMMITTEE

The Facilities Use Committee addresses and evaluates requests from homeowners for use of Calabasas Lake and surrounding common areas for personal use.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

The Government Affairs Committee will be comprised of members who attend/represent CPHA at City related meetings.


LAKE COMMITTEE


The Lake Committee will monitor all aspects of the lake with regard to improvements, maintenance, fishing and boating. It is anticipated that this committee will meet at a minimum of once every two months to discuss current issues pertaining to Calabasas Lake.

LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE
The Landscape Committee will be responsible to deal with common area greenbelt issues throughout the Park, and work with Landscape Maintenance District 22. This Committee will meet every two months to address landscape issues and on an as-needed basis for other matters.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

The Membership Committee will review the different membership classifications for CPHA and make recommendations to the Board for possible modifications.

SECURITY COMMITTEE

The Security Committee is responsible to be aware of and deal with security matters throughout Calabasas Park, and the chair is the contact person to serve as a liaison with the security service provider. It is anticipated that this Committee will meet at a minimum of once every two months to discuss the current status of security within the Park.

SOCIAL/COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMITTEE

The Social/Community Relations Committee meets on an as needed basis to plan and organize the July 4th event and any other community events in which CPHA is involved, and to provide public relations to homeowners within our community.
